Our Salsa Sunday socials includes music in other genres such as bachata, merengue, cumbia, cha cha, timba, ect. However on “Salsa Sundays”, the music mix is salsa dominant, about a 55/45 ratio of salsa songs played compared to bachata. We play to the crowd if you have a requests but we also stay true to being salsa dominant during the social. With that being said, bachateros will have plenty of songs to dance to at Salsa Sundays! Also watch out for our Special Edition 50/50 salsa/bachata nights! We play 2 salsa and 2 bachata songs every night.
You do not need to come with a partner to join the dance lessons. In fact, coming solo provides a great opportunity to meet new people, as we rotate partners throughout the duration of the class. We encourage everyone to practice dancing with others to increase your ability to lead and follow with any partner. But, if you come to class with a partner and do not wish to rotate, that is okay as well. Just let us know during the class ;)

About Us-Our Story
The Salsa Lab provides Latin dance entertainment and events in the Inland Empire that include dance classes, live performances, and social dancing at various venues. The Salsa Lab was created in order to help grow the local Latin dance community, provide quality Latin dance socials and entertainment, and provide the community of dancers and new learners with opportunities to grow in their dance skills. We have great instructors committed to “breaking dance down to a science” so you can feel confident learning new moves! Whether you’re at a beginner or intermediate level, our weekly classes will help you improve your technique, style and dance patterns.
Our Mission - Community
The Salsa Lab is proud to be a part of the Latin Dance Community, key word being COMMUNITY! We welcome everyone to be a part of this community of dancers, whether it is your first time ever, you are visiting from out of town, or you’ve been in the dance scene for years.
The dancers who participate in our events have come from cities across Southern California with the majority of them residing in Murrieta,Temecula, Menifee, Perris, Lake Elsinore, Santa Ana, and San Diego. We are growing a strong presence with new faces coming to our events every week. The Latin dance community is made up of people of all different ethnic backgrounds and ages that come to enjoy the love of Latin music and dance. We have asked dancers what they loved most about being part of the latin dance community and these were some of the responses:
“I enjoy the positive energy”
“The amazing friends you make and the atmosphere”
“Having the super support of a community”
“Connecting with people from all over the world”
Individual dancers have shared with us that dance has helped them to manage and heal from life’s hardships such as heartache, grief, sickness, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. These are some examples of the beautiful impact the Latin dance community has that go beyond seeing dance as just a hobby. The testimonies from our dancers show why it is important to build and grow a dance community so that many others can experience the benefits of dance. Healing, liberation, joy and social connections through dance is what The Salsa Lab is passionate about offering to our local community.

Including in Madrid, Spain where I lived for 3 years. I remember sometimes dancing 7 days a week! When I came back to California in 2018, I became an instructor with Salsafama and enjoyed supporting their events. In 2020, many dance socials halted due to the pandemic. I did instagram dance challenges and even went to online dance socials to keep my dance life alive 😅. As life transitioned back to “normal”, I had the opportunity to teach dance and fitness at G-Force Fitness Center. I had a desire to see the Latin dance scene grow in the Inland Empire, which inspired the creation of The Salsa Lab. On April 11, 2022, The Salsa Lab had our FIRST event at Memelli Sports Bar and it was a success! Shout out to instructor Jerry Stevens and DJ Felix who were a big part of The Salsa Lab’s origin story. I’m so grateful I’ve gotten to learn from and work with amazing people, have made many new friends, been inspired, grown in confidence, and have become connected to the world wide, ever growing community of latin dance.

It is so rewarding to push through the challenge of learning something new and developing the confidence to lay it all out on the dance floor. Latin dancing gives the continual opportunity to free yourself as you "dance like nobody's watching". Aside from Latin dancing, I am passionate about mental health, personal development, learning, and traveling. I've been Latin dancing for 9 years and I see it as always being a part of my life.

I launched my career as a professional DJ over 15 years ago in Los Angeles, CA. a native from Mexico City, I was born on September 10th, a true Virgo! Growing up in a latin music environment, I had to fulfill my insatiable appetite to DJ, with quick success and an accelerated work ethic I established myself firmly on the international and local dance scene. I am a mastermind in anticipating what patrons want and need. My amazing talent on the decks always whips the crowd into frenzy and creates the sort of excitement that will keep customers wanting more. I cover various styles of latin music from salsa to reggaeton, whether I'm performing at a salsa congress locally or Internationally with thousands of spectators or at a high energy nightclub, or at a prestigious event, no matter what the occasion is, I'm continually commended for making any event a major success.

I started doing it maybe 4-5 years ago as a way to get out of my head and into my body. Years later and I still have trouble getting out of my head from time to time but I’ve improved a ton! There’s so much to be gained in the social dance community! Practically all of my current friend group comes from it. The whimsy curious nature that came when I first took social dance is still there for me, I love that I still get excited for a night of dance. There’s so much to be learned and I look forward to grow as a dancer and person along with salsa lab ! If you ever have any questions or want to chat it up about life or dance you are always welcome to approach me 😄

I have been passionate about dance and the arts since I was 8. I started out learning tap, jazz & hiphop then in college pursued a dance minor in the contemporary arts along with my teacher credentials. I’ve been an educator for the past 10 years and love working with students in the elementary & HS setting. Candace introduced me to social dancing in 2019 and I love how it allows dance to be part of my life. I enjoy learning different styles and techniques in both salsa & bachata. But my favorite part of this dance journey has to be the community I’ve grown to love.
We offer Beginner & Intermediate Salsa Lessons, Group Lessons, Private Parties, & More!
